He Knew Then, He Knows Now

Hey there!   How is everybody?  Happy Mother’s Day to all you mommas out there!  I hope all y’all are healthy and had a good weekend. 

In the midst of this trying time, it can be easy to feel like God has forgotten us or is doing something less than loving us. Maybe He’s not aware of what’s going on in our lives.  The Scriptures paint a different story.  Grab a cuppa your favorite beverage, find a comfy spot, and let’s talk about it.

Politics and Peace

Hey there!  How’s everybody doing?  Hope all y’all are doing well!   So, are we all sick to death of the political barrage yet?  Do we have a clue for whom we will vote?  Are we looking to a new President to ‘fix’ America?  Honestly, the only hope I have for fixing America is a massive move of Americans in repentance and faith toward God and following His ways.  In the meantime, it seems like bad just gets worse, and my kids and grandkids are dealing on a daily basis with things I never had to think about at their age!  Makes me think about my last trip to Israel.  So, grab a glass of something cold and find a comfy spot to relax a minute.  I’ll tell you about Israel.

Hey there!  How are all y’all?  Hope y’all are doing well.   It’s been crazy here, dealing with selling a house halfway across the country, but I have truly awesome people on both ends and we’ve overcome every obstacle, I think. As the truck prepares to bring yet another load of boxes and furniture, I’ve been frantically trying to unpack everything from the last trip.  I have a few pieces that are very special because they came from overseas.  Every trip was different, every one life-changing.  Grab a cuppa, and find a relaxing spot.  I’m looking right now at a carved olive wood statue of

Camel Kisses

Howdy!   How’s everybody doing?  Have you survived Advent and the Christmas rush and madness so far?  Are your cards mailed?  How many dinners do you need to prep for , or have you already attended?  Are the gifts bought?  Wrapped?  Here I sit at the computer, it’s nearly midnight, my house looks like bomb exploded in here, and I don’t even remember what I’ve bought or for whom, let alone have it all out to wrap.  Dinner?  Thank God for my oldest daughter’s mom-in-love…   Take a minute, find a spot to relax and grab a cuppa something you like.  I’ll tell you a story, and maybe it will help brighten your day. 

Observe to Obtain

Hey there! Hope all y’all are doing well! Grab a cuppa and get comfy for a while. Relax a minute. One thing I really like is going to church every day.  Every day, we have tan Old Testament reading, a Psalm and a Gospel.  If I pay attention, I can always hear God speaking to me through His Word.

Awhile back, the OT reading was from Deuteronomy chapter 4.  Now, I know Deuteronomy can be quite boring.
