Hi there!   How is everyone?  Hopefully y’all are escaping the damaging effects of some of this weather.  My heart and prayers go out to those who have lost family members and property to mother nature. We’ve had quite a lot of rain with some minor flooding here, but no loss of life.  Hopefully y’all are intact, and can take a minute with a cuppa something and find a comfy spot and relax.  Say another prayer for those who are struggling with weather-related losses.

It’s TODAY!!!

Hey there! It’s the day before Easter, aka Holy Saturday and Easter Vigil. Grab a cuppa something and find a comfy spot to take a breather from all the prep. It’s a massive amount of work to host a dinner, so take 5.  Already this morning (this is a miracle- it’s not even 9 am!) I’ve unloaded the dishwasher, reloaded it, baked a loaf of English Muffin bread and have a pineapple casserole in the oven.  Last night I made potato salad.  Tonight, I will officially enter the Catholic Church.  Lots of thoughts going around in my head…

Funny How It Works

Hi there!   Hope  everyone is doing well.   It’s finally warmed up a bit here, and the weekend is supposed to be gorgeous.  Arkansas daughter is in town for the weekend.  So everybody grab whatever beverage you’re in the mood for (its after midnight so I’m drinking hot decaf tea to soothe a scratchy throat).  Then grab a comfy spot.   Ever had that ‘funny feeling’ that you should be doing something for no apparent reason? Ever had that feeling that something was about to happen but you didn’t know what?

When I was about three, Mom and dad transferred their membership from the Lutheran Church way in town to the new one, two blocks from our home in a brand new subdivision.  I remember us being there as a family exactly two times: once to actually join the church, and one other time at a communion service.   My brother and I were sent to Sunday School every week
